Because even though it isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary or different from other walking sims like Limbo, Inside, and Little Nightmares, everything it does do, just like its marketing plan, is carefully co-ordinated. And trust me when I say, Planet of Lana is good. And the finish is perhaps the most important part because it’s one thing to convince people a game is good, it’s another for it to actually BE good. From that initial teaser trailer, to the announcement that Takeshi Furukawa is doing the soundtrack, then it got revealed as a Game Pass title and that led into a highly successful Next Fest.įrankly, it’s been the perfect marketing campaign – from start to finish. It’s a game that has quietly, steadily been building momentum since launch. And it’s a fantastic example of how a game can draw attention to itself, even though it’s not actually doing anything groundbreaking or earth-shattering, but still shows itself in the right ways. Because Planet of Lana really did stand out from the rest of the indie titles, both this week and over the past few months. If you’ll forgive this mini rant, there is a point to it. And there’s a bunch we just didn’t have the time to even look at or consider because of that, even though we’d love to. Just this week, between the staff, we have reviews for 6 different titles, all releasing in a similar window. It makes it hard to get any kind of recognition, but it’s just as tough for media to judge what to cover or not. The cage will eventually fall down, allowing you to snatch up the new hat. Climb the cages, then jump and grab the cage itself before clambering atop it and jumping up and down. It’s easy to miss this one, so look out for some cages after you make the big leap across the bridge with Six’s help. The third and final hat, the yellow raincoat hat, seems to be Mono’s version of Six’s iconic outdoor wear. Following this nome into an even higher attic and then complete his obstacle course to finally unlock his hat. Once you collect the key from the attic, a nome should then appear. The second hat, the nome hat, hinges on you having the digital deluxe edition of the game - you unfortunately cannot collect all hats in Little Nightmares 2 without it. Before going down the stairs, go up the hallway and then hang a left to find the cap lying on the middle of the carpet. This is one of the more obvious hats in Little Nightmares and can be found just before you encounter Six for the first time. The first hat you will come across in Chapter 1 is the coonskin cap. However, you just need to collect eight normal hats for the Far Ahead trophy. There are three hats to collect in Little Nightmares 2‘s first chapter, Wilderness, and 11 in total to collect across the game, though two are DLC and one is unlocked just for completing the game.
